Privacy Policy
Last updated October 8, 2026
Five to Three (“we”, operated by Five To Three App LLC) hosts in-person dinners for single adults, seating guests at tables of six to eight. This policy covers our website and our iOS app, and explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Waitlist data: your email address and city, plus how you found us (for example which ad).
- Membership data: your first name, mobile number, gender, email address, the plan you chose, whether you agreed to texts, how you found us, and the age and location you tell us after joining. We keep the texts and emails we exchange with you. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see them.
- Account data: your email address or mobile number, used to sign you in with an email link or a code we text you.
- Profile data: first name, date of birth, gender, who you’d like to meet, city, and any allergies or dietary needs you tell us (on the website or in the app).
- Dinner data: which dinners and tables you’re seated at and whether you confirmed.
- App data: the iOS app shows your dinners and saves your RSVP and dietary needs. If you ask for a dinner reminder, it is scheduled on your phone; nothing about it is sent to us. The app has no ads, analytics or tracking.
- Technical data: basic server logs (IP address, browser type) kept for security and debugging.
We do not collect your device’s location. Gender and dating preferences are used only to decide who sits at your table.
How we use it
- To invite you to dinners in your city and seat you with people near your age who you’d like to meet.
- To tell the restaurant how many guests to expect and about dietary needs, without your name attached where we can avoid it.
- To keep dinners safe: enforcing the 18+ requirement and acting on reports.
- To email you about dinners you’ve signed up for, and to send sign-in links and sign-in codes.
- To bill your membership, and to text you about your membership and dinner invites if you agreed to texts. Your texts to us, including messages to your assistant, are read by an AI service (Anthropic) to pick out details like your age and location and to write replies.
What other guests see
The people at your table meet you in person and know your first name. We never show other guests your email address, date of birth, dietary notes, or the rest of your profile.
Sharing
We don’t sell your personal information. We use service providers to run the site: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and sign-in), Twilio (texting sign-in codes), Resend (email), Telnyx (text messages), Sendblue (iMessage with your assistant), Anthropic (reading and answering your texts), Stripe (payments) and PostHog (site analytics, to see how people use our sign-up pages). They process data only on our behalf and are required to protect it at least as well as this policy does. We share a headcount and dietary needs with the restaurant hosting your dinner. Our sign-up pages may use the ad measurement tools of Meta, TikTok and Pinterest (their pixels or tags and server-side conversion APIs) to measure how well our ads work; this can include a hashed (scrambled) copy of your email, phone number, first name, gender and city, and whether you joined. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect someone’s safety.
Text messages
We text you only if you agree to it, and you can reply STOP at any time. We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or your agreement to receive texts with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party, except the service providers above that deliver our messages for us.
Some people talk to Five to Three through their own AI assistant (for example by text or in a chat app). What you tell your assistant is handled by that assistant’s provider under its own privacy policy; we receive only what it passes on to us.
Retention and deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the Account page on the website or from Settings in the app. This deletes your sign-in, your profile and your dinner seats, and erases your name, date of birth, dietary needs, story and contact details from your membership record. We keep only what we need for billing and accounting (your phone number, plan, payment status, Stripe references and dates). Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a paid membership; text or email us to cancel, or to have the billing record removed too where the law allows. To be removed from the waitlist, email us. Safety reports may be kept to protect other guests.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your data. Email hello@fivetothreeapp.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. You can also write to Five To Three App LLC, 230 W Superior St, Chicago, IL 60654.
Age requirement
Five to Three is only for people 18 and older. We delete accounts we learn belong to minors.
Changes
If we make material changes, we’ll update this page and the date above.
